Four hundred and three (403) chests of Persian opium were imported during the year, and 366 chests were exported to Formosa. Eight hundred and fifty six (856) chests of uncertificated Indian opium were imported: 456 chests for the Government Monopoly, and the remaining 400 chests for the Macao Opium Farmer.
